Regular Season Round 16: Olomouc - Zlin 91-56

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Bball Olomouc (10-6) outplayed at home 5th ranked SKB Zlin (8-8) 91-56 on Friday. Bball Olomouc dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to SKB Zlin's 30. They outrebounded SKB Zlin 46-22 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bball Olomouc looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by SKB Zlin's players. Quite impressive performance for center Jakub Sedlak (209-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Radek Jurka (191-95) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bball Olomouc's coach Michal Pekarek felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Roman Mensik (192) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Ondrej Chwaszcz (180-83) added 9 points and 4 steals in the effort for SKB Zlin. Bball Olomouc maintains third position in Group B with 10-6 record having just one point less than leader Sokol Prazky. Loser SKB Zlin dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Bball Olomouc will face league's leader Sokol Hradec Kralove on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SKB Zlin will play against Vysocina (#7) in Jihlava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
