Regular Season Round 11: Stevnsgade - Randers 76-87
Date: December 5, 2015
The game in Stevnsgade was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Randers (4-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Stevnsgade (2-9). Randers defeated Stevnsgade 87-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Stevnsgade managed to win second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 38-of-43 free shots (88.4 percent) during the game, while Stevnsgade only scored eleven points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!). The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) accounted for 26 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Adrian Moss (204-81, college: Florida) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Stevnsgade in the defeat. Stevnsgade's coach Mickey Dennis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Randers moved-up to fifth place. Stevnsgade lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with SISU. Randers will meet at home SISU (#7) in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
