Regular Season Round 23: Stevnsgade - Svendborg 80-99

The game in Stevnsgade was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Svendborg (14-10) played at the court of 7th ranked Stevnsgade (4-19). Svendborg did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 99-80 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Svendborg. Stevnsgade managed to win second period 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Svendborg had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Darious Moten (198-92, college: Mercer) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Forward Adrian Moss (204-81, college: Florida) came up with 28 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Stevnsgade in the defeat. Stevnsgade's coach Mickey Dennis let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Svendborg. They maintain fourth place with 14-10 record. Newly promoted Stevnsgade keeps the seventh position with 19 games lost. Svendborg will meet at home bottom-ranked SISU (#8) in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against the league's leader Horsens IC in Horsens and hope to secure a win.
