Regular Season Round 9: SISU - Aabyhoj 62-61

The most exciting game of round 9 in the Dameligaen took place in Copenhagen. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Aabyhoj (6-2) to third ranked SISU (5-3) 62-61 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aabyhoj. SISU held Aabyhoj to an opponent 24.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Aabyhoj 41-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Josefine Haabegaard (180-1999) who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Emilie Ravn (176-2000) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Camilla Christiansen (174-2001) who recorded 16 points and 6 steals and the former international guard Freya Jensen (178-2006) added 18 points and 5 steals respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SISU maintains third place with 5-3 record having just two points less than leader Falcon. Aabyhoj at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aabyhoj will play on the road against Amager in Kastrup and is hoping to win this game.
