Very important is a home loss of third ranked Metros STGO (3-7) against fourth ranked Titanes Licey (5-9) on Thursday night. Host Metros STGO was defeated by Titanes Licey in a tough game in Santiago 104-109. Titanes Licey made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. Metros STGO was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit Mercy) orchestrated the victory by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American swingman JJ Moore (198-91, college: Rutgers) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Adris De-Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Metros STGO. Five Titanes Licey and four Metros STGO players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Titanes Licey moved-up to third place which they share with defeated Metros STGO. Defending champion Metros STGO keeps the third position with seven games lost. Titanes Licey will play against league's second-placed Reales LV in La Vega in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Metros STGO will play at home against Caneros Del Este and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
