Regular Season Round 12: TBV Start - Helsinki Rock 35-60

The game in Lublin supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Finnish Helsinki Rock (7-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Polish TBV Start (2-13). Helsinki Rock smashed TBV Start 60-35 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Helsinki Rock. TBV Start was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TBV Start to just 4 points in first quarter and to 12 points in first half. The best player for the winners was forward Jesper Granlund (193-0) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Santeri Makkonen (-1) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Bartlomiej Pelczar (185-0) who recorded 10 points and guard Jan Piliszczuk (185-0) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Helsinki Rock went down to ninth position due to points difference, which they share with BG Lulea. Loser TBV Start dropped to the fourteenth place with 13 games lost.
