Everything went according to plan when HungarianSzekszard defeated Romanian Sf.Gheorghe in Sfantu Gheorghe 63-49 on Wednesday. Szekszard forced 19 Sf.Gheorghe turnovers. American forward Liza Karlen (188-2002, college: Notre Dame) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Portuguese point guard Carolina Rodrigues (170-1998, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 16 points and 5 assists. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by Canadian center Emily Potter (195-1995, college: Utah) did not help to save the game for Sf.Gheorghe . American guard Domonique Davis (168-2000, college: Southern Miss) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Sf.Gheorghe's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest.
