Regular Season Round 5: KP Brno - Ragusa 74-42

Everything went according to plan when second ranked CzechKP Brno (3-2) outplayed at home 4th placed Croatian Ragusa (0-5) 74-42 on Wednesday. KP Brno forced 20 Ragusa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Cameron Swartz (180, college: Georgia Tech) nailed 15 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Katerina Galickova accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds. Bosnian-Croatian center Jovana Mandic (192-1992, college: Nicholls) came up with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian-Croatian Nevena Vuckovic (177-1998) added 13 points respectively for Ragusa in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KP Brno maintains second place with 3-2 record having just seven point less than leader Villeneuve, which they share with 9 other teams. Ragusa lost their fifth game in a row. Defending Croatian champion still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. KP Brno will meet Sassari (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ragusa will play against the league's leader BLMA in Montpellier and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
