American swingman Raymond Cowels III (193-90, college: Santa Clara) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Carl Lindbom (206-91) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Helsinki Seagulls players scored in double figures. American forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the former international power forward Samuli Vanttaja (210-91) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Helsinki Seagulls will meet at home UU-Korihait (#4) in the next round. Kauhajoen Karhu will play against KTP-Basket (#5) and hope to win that game.
