Regular Season Round 21: Raholan Pyrkiva - Korikouvot 85-106

The game in Tampere supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Korikouvot (16-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (12-12). Korikouvot smashed Raholan Pyrkiva 106-85 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Korikouvot. Raholan Pyrkiva was better in second period 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Raholan Pyrkiva 38-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Korikouvot looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for guard Valtteri Leino (181-95) who led his team to a victory with 27 points. Guard Henri Kantonen (197-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Korikouvot players scored in double figures. Guard Lauri Tiainen (193-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and Russian guard Artem Shchepkin (194-86) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Raholan Pyrkiva. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Korikouvot maintains fourth place in Division with 16-8 record. Loser Raholan Pyrkiva keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
