Very expected game when 10th ranked Forssan Koripojat (3-10) was defeated at home by fourth ranked ToPo (9-4) 93-88 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 28-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. ToPo made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Point guard Miki Kuusisto (194-94) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and American swingman LD Williams (193-88, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five ToPo players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Juwan Howard-Jr (200-92, college: Detroit Mercy) responded with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Markus Molenius (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. ToPo moved-up to third place in Division. Loser Forssan Koripojat keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. ToPo will face Jarvenpaa (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Forssan Koripojat will play against Korikouvot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
