Very predictable result in Helsinki where second ranked MuKi (13-1) outscored 9th ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (5-9) 93-73. The game was mostly controlled by MuKi. Raholan Pyrkiva was better in fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MuKi forced 19 Raholan Pyrkiva turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American swingman Calvin Ward-III (188, college: Missouri Valley) notched 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Pyry Marttinen (184-99) supported him with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four MuKi players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by Ville Haapoja (200-98) did not help to save the game for Raholan Pyrkiva. Gambian center Mbye Bittaye (198-89) added 18 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MuKi maintains second position in Division with 13-1 record having just two point less than leader HBA-Marsky. Raholan Pyrkiva at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. MuKi's next round opponent will be JyWe (#5) in Jyvaskyla. Raholan Pyrkiva will play at home against Karkkila (#6) and hope to win that game.
