HyPo topped Vive to enter the semifinal stage. ViVe was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of HyPo, which allowed them to win the game. They made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Henna Salomaa (177-89, college: Oakland) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four HyPo players scored in double figures. HyPo's coach Miikka Sopanen used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Jennifer Mathurin (185, college: N.Carolina St.) with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Pachis Roberts (180-94, college: Georgia) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds.
