Regular Season Round 6: Kipina - Jyvaskyla BA 80-114

Rather expected game in Aanekoski where 6th ranked Kipina (3-3) was crushed by fourth ranked Jyvaskyla BA (4-1) 114-80 on Saturday. The game without a history. Jyvaskyla BA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Kipina's players. The best player for the winners was guard Elmeri Abbey (178-2006) who scored 28 points. Point guard Juuso Salmi (188-2004) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Jyvaskyla BA players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brian Cameron (188-1997, college: Wesley) who recorded 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard ArMond Davis (196-1995, college: UCSB) added 19 points and 14 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jyvaskyla BA have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Kipina keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Kouvot Ak.. Jyvaskyla BA will meet at home Kouvot Ak. (#7) in the next round. Kipina will play against HBA-Marsky in Helsinki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
