Regular Season Round 16: MuKi - PuHu Juniorit 73-85

There was no surprise in Helsinki where 13th ranked MuKi (5-11) was defeated by third ranked PuHu Juniorit (11-4) 85-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by PuHu Juniorit. MuKi managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PuHu Juniorit dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MuKi's 32. PuHu Juniorit forced 20 MuKi turnovers. Point guard Valtteri Leino (183-1995) fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Valtteri Heiskanen (197-2004) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Robin Avist (191-2000) produced 26 points and 5 assists and center Alexander Aglassinger (198-2001) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PuHu Juniorit moved-up to second place. Loser MuKi dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Korinokia. PuHu Juniorit will meet at home Pyrinto Ak.B (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MuKi will play against LrNMKY (#13) in Lappeenranta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
