Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Helsinki:Torpan Pojat (#2) and Marsky Helsinki (#8). Marsky Helsinki was smashed at home by 25 points 61-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. ToPo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Marsky Helsinki 's 40. ToPo forced 25 HBA-Marsky turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by HBA-Marsky 's players. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-1977, college: Xavier) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American power forward Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-1991, college: Syracuse) supported her with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by the former international Lilli Onnela (183-2006) did not help to save the game for HBA-Marsky . Center Aluel Machol (190-2008) added 10 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Torpan Pojat have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion (9-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with PeKa. HBA-Marsky at the other side keeps the eighth place with eight games lost.
