The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placedTampereen Pyrinto 's (7-4) road loss to third ranked Kouvottaret (9-2) 70-96 on Friday. Kouvot dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tampereen Pyrinto 's 34. Kouvot looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard ReShawna Stone (168, college: Buffalo) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Her fellow American import guard Chanin Scott (183-1998, college: NC A&T) helped adding 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Kouvottaret players scored in double figures. Forward Annika Aarrejoki (180-2004) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kayla Shaw (178-1997, college: Azusa Pacific) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Kouvottaret . They maintain third place with 9-2 record behind leader ToPo. Loser Tampereen Pyrinto dropped to the fifth position with four games lost.
