Rather expected game when 5th rankedTampereen Pyrinto (9-8) was rolled over at home by second ranked Peli-Karhut (14-3) 73-54 on Saturday. PeKa made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Pyrinto turnovers. American guard Lauren Heard (175-1999, college: TCU) stepped up and scored 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and the former international Anissa Pounds (174-1990, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Peli-Karhut's coach Roope Makela used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Kenisha Williams (176-2004) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Annika Aarrejoki (180-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. PeKa maintains second place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader ToPo. Pyrinto lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
