Korisliiga top team -Torpan Pojat (17-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat fifth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (9-9) in Helsinki 85-75 . ToPo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-1991, college: Syracuse) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. International guard Magdalene Agyei (177-1999) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Torpan Pojat players scored in double figures. Forward Annika Aarrejoki (180-2004) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Saana Kujala (184-2002) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto. Torpan Pojat have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-1 record. Pyrinto lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost.
