The most exciting game of round 1 in the Korisliiga took place in Salo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road ofKataja to Vilpas 80-78 on Saturday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of British guard Amin Adamu (194-1997, college: Montana St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Eero Innamaa (188-1998) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Vilpas players scored in double figures. Vilpas' coach Jussi Savolainen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard KeShawn Curry (195-1998, college: VCU) answered with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and the former international center Hannes Polla (211-1998, college: UT Martin) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kataja.
