There was a minor upset when 8th rankedLrNMKY (8-12) was smashed by eleventh ranked RaPy (7-13) in Tampere 83-53 on Saturday. RaPy made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. RaPy outrebounded LrNMKY 47-33 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Panu Peltokangas (200-1992) who scored that evening 8 points and 15 rebounds and forward Juho Kaltiainen (195-2002) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by American swingman Will Brown III (196, college: Essex CC) did not help to save the game for LrNMKY . Guard Elias Reponen (180-2004) added 18 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. RaPy moved-up to tenth place, which they share with HNMKY. Loser LrNMKY keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Oulun Bball.
