Fourth-rankedHuima (10-11) gave a tough game to second ranked Kipina (16-5) in Aanekoski on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only one-point victory 102-101 . However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Huima. Kipina looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Tevin Brewer (173-1999, college: Duquesne) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 assists for the winners and forward Victor Hart (203-2001, college: Southern Miss, agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in 27 points and 9 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The best for the losing side was guard JJ Kalakon (196-2001, college: W.Illinois) with 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Zyon Dobbs (193, college: Fairmont St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Kipina and five Huima players scored in double figures. Kipina maintains second place with 16-5 record having five points less than leader Lahti. Huima at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with JBA.
