The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Vimpelin Veto's (5-20) road loss to eighth ranked BC Nokia (9-17) 71-83 on Saturday. BC Nokia looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Ellen Jarvinen (175-1999) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Estonian forward Kadri-Ann Lass (191-1996, college: Duquesne) chipped in 14 points during the contest. BC Nokia's coach Denis Kucevic used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Silja Viita (185-2001) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four ViVe players scored in double figures. Newly promoted BC Nokia maintains eighth position with 9-17 record. Loser Vimpelin Veto keeps the ninth place with 20 games lost.
