Regular Season Round 4: BC Nokia - ViVe 70-79

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Nokia (1-3) lost at home to fifth ranked Vimpelin Veto (2-1) 79-70 on Saturday. ViVe forced 23 BC Nokia turnovers. The winners were led by American swingman Sara Puckett (188-2002, college: Tennessee) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds and supported her with 11 points and 17 rebounds. Four Vimpelin Veto players scored in double figures. Even 32 points and 5 assists by American guard Unique Drake (170-2000, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for BC Nokia. Her fellow American import forward Laila Lawrence (188-2003, college: Coppin St.) added 17 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. ViVe moved-up to third place, which they share with Pyrinto. BC Nokia lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with three games lost. ViVe will meet Honka (#6) in the next round. BC Nokia will play against Pyrinto in Tampere and hope to win that game.
