Regular Season Round 11: PeKa - ViVe 63-68

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Peli-Karhut (8-2) against fourth ranked Vimpelin Veto (7-3) on Saturday night. Host Peli-Karhut was defeated by Vimpelin Veto in a tough game in Kotka 63-68. It was an exceptional evening for Jeanae Terry who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. American swingman Sara Puckett (188-2002, college: Tennessee) accounted for 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Lauren Heard (175-1999, college: TCU) came up with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and added 13 points respectively for PeKa in the defeat. Vimpelin Veto have a solid series of four victories in a row. ViVe maintains fourth place with 7-3 record. Defending champion PeKa keeps the second position with two games lost. ViVe will play against league's leader Pyrinto in Tampere in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PeKa will play on the road against Honka in Espoo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
