Regular Season Round 15: ToPo - Pyrinto 59-66

The game in Helsinki was quite interesting. Third ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (11-3) played at the court of 6th ranked ToPo (3-10). Tampereen Pyrinto managed to secure a 7-point victory 66-59 on Wednesday. Pyrinto made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 ToPo turnovers. The best player for the winners was Saana Kujala who scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Janiya Foskey chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian guard Sarah Gates (177-1999) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and Lotta Vesiluoma added 11 points respectively. Pyrinto moved-up to second place, which they share with ViVe. ToPo at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with BC Nokia and Honka. Pyrinto is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kouvot (#9) in Kouvola in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ToPo will play on the road against Honka in Espoo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
