Very important is a home loss of first rankedVimpelin Veto (18-6) against seventh ranked ToPo (8-16) on Saturday night. Host Vimpelin Veto was defeated by ToPo in a tough game in Vimpeli 78-84 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Vimpelin Veto. ToPo made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-1991, college: Syracuse) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian guard Sarah Gates (177-1999) helped adding 22 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). ToPo's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Sara Puckett (188-2002, college: Tennessee) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Sahara Jones (183-2002, college: Texas A&M) scored 22 points. Four ToPo and five ViVe players scored in double figures. ToPo maintains seventh place with 8-16 record. Loser Vimpelin Veto still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with PeKa and Pyrinto.
