Kipina made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. American guard Jalen McCoy (196-2002, college: USC Aiken, agency: Origins Sports Group) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Jake Hilmer (180-2000, college: Upper Iowa) chipped in 29 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Kipina's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian guard Emmanuel Bandoumel (193-1998, college: Nebraska) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Caleb Jones-McCrary (203-2000, college: MNU) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Karkkila players scored in double figures.
