Vilpas outrebounded Korihait 53-22 including a 39-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vilpas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Jalen Brooks (196-1999, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Nigerian-American forward ZeRik Onyema (206-2002, college: Texas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Vilpas players scored in double figures. American forward Frank Champion (201-2002, college: Chattanooga) answered with 8 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Ville Tahvanainen (193-2000, college: Bradley, agency: Blacktop Management) added 12 points in the effort for Korihait. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
