Chorale de Roanne used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Poitiers 66-60 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 20-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) stepped up and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Luc-Arthur Vebobe (202-80, college: Hawaii) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (200-87, college: Colorado St.) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Carl Ona-Embo (185-89) scored 14 points. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chorale de Roanne will face ALM Evreux on the road in the next round.
