Regular Season Round 12: Hyeres-Toulon - Nantes 82-78

ProB top team - Hyeres-Toulon (10-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Nantes (5-7) 82-78. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Nantes won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of William Howard (201-93) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette, agency: HMS) who added 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: I.D.S. Law) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hyeres-Toulon have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record. Nantes lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Poitiers (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Nantes will play against JA Vichy (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
