Regular Season Round 19: Bordeaux - Blois 78-84

NM1 top team - ADA Blois (16-3) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (7-12) 84-78. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 33-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. ADA Blois forced 23 JSA Bordeaux turnovers. Strangely JSA Bordeaux outrebounded ADA Blois 35-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by JSA Bordeaux helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 steals. Florent Tortosa (196-89) helped adding 15 points. At the losing side Lithuanian point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (201-92) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Mike Myers (206-92, college: Md-E Shore) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. JSA Bordeaux's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADA Blois have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. JSA Bordeaux at the other side dropped to the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. ADA Blois are looking forward to face bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JSA Bordeaux will play on the road against GET Vosges in Golbey and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
