Regular Season Round 20: GET Vosges - Bordeaux 63-68

There was a surprise result in Golbey where sixteenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (8-12) beat higher ranked GET Vosges (11-9) 68-63 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-10. But GET Vosges won second period 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when JSA Bordeaux won last quarter 16-13. The best player for the winners was American forward Mike Myers (206-92, college: Md-E Shore) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Lithuanian point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (201-92) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward David Acker (204-92) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and naturalized Belgian point guard Charly Pontens (190-95) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Mulhouse and Berck. Loser GET Vosges dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face higher ranked Quimper UJAP (#12) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
