Regular Season Round 7: Arras - Mondeville 76-79

Fourteenth-ranked Arras (2-13) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Mondeville (7-8) on Wednesday. The visitors from Mondeville managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for power forward Lysa Millavet (185-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side forward Jenny Fouasseau (179-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian forward Stephany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mondeville moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Lyon. Loser Arras stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Mondeville will meet at home Nantes Reze (#10) in the next round. Arras will play against COB Calais (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
