Regular Season Round 22: Provence Basket - Nantes 77-67

Date: March 15, 2016
Everything went according to plan in Fos-sur-Mer where third ranked Provence Basket (14-8) beat 10th ranked Nantes (10-12) 77-67 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Provence Basket. Nantes was better in fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (203-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) responded with 17 points and swingman Dominique Gentil (197-88, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points. Nantes' coach Franck Collineau tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Provence Basket have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Evreux and Bourg. Loser Nantes dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Provence Basket will face Denain Voltaire (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nantes will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#5) and hope to win that game.
