Regular Season Round 7: Quimper - Challans 81-62

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Quimper UJAP (6-1) smashed at home 17th ranked Vendee Challans (1-6) 81-62. The game without a history. Quimper UJAP led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Quimper UJAP forced 19 Vendee Challans turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Vendee Challans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Kevin Mondesir (204-91) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-92) accounted for 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. American center Demarco Cox (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian Djordje Petrovic (202-84) added 11 points respectively for Vendee Challans in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimper UJAP maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Souffel. Vendee Challans lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventeenth position with six games lost. Quimper UJAP's next round opponent will be Rueil (#6) on the road. Vendee Challans will play against Lourdes-Tarbes (#11) and hope to win that game.
