Regular Season Round 8: Provence Basket - Lille 89-60

ProB top team - Provence Basket (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Lille Metropole (5-3) in Fos-sur-Mer 89-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lille Metropole. The game without a history. Provence Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Lille Metropole's 40. The best player for the winners was American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Deonte Burton (183-91, college: Nevada) added 19 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Provence Basket have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Lille Metropole at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. Provence Basket's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked SPO Rouen (#18) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Lille Metropole will play against ALM Evreux (#15) and hope to win that game.
