Regular Season Round 13: Rouen - Blois 72-68

We should mention about the upset which took place in Rouen, where higher ranked ADA Blois (5-8) lost to eighteenth ranked SPO Rouen (4-9) in a road game 68-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ADA Blois. ADA Blois was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 21-9 third quarter run of SPO Rouen. Carl Ponsar (197-97) nailed 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) accounted for 19 points. American Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for ADA Blois in the defeat. ADA Blois' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SPO Rouen moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Boulogne and St Chamond. ADA Blois at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. SPO Rouen's next round opponent will be higher ranked Aix-Maurienne (#13) in Aix-les-Bains and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
