Regular Season Round 19: Antibes - Monaco 84-91

Leader Monaco delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 16th ranked Olympique Antibes (6-13) 91-84. It looked good early as Olympique Antibes took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Monaco had a 30-16 second period charge getting the lead and Olympique Antibes was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-91. Monaco made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Olympique Antibes was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American Jamal Shuler (191-86) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 17 points in the effort for Olympique Antibes. Four Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. Monaco (17-2) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place. Olympique Antibes at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cholet and Orleans. Monaco will play against Le Mans (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olympique Antibes will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
