Regular Season Round 24: Angers BC - CFBB 90-60

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-24) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 24th consecutive match to sixteenth ranked Angers BC (10-14) 90-60. It looked good early as CFBB took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Angers BC had a 23-13 second period charge getting the lead and CFBB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-90. Angers BC forced 25 CFBB turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Auston Calhoun (201-90, college: Bowling Green, agency: HMS) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Angers BC players scored in double figures. Guard Sofiane Briki (190-99) replied with 17 points and 5 assists and forward Ivan Fevrier (203-99) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CFBB. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Angers BC moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Rennes and SAP Vaucluse. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Angers BC's next round opponent will be higher ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (#12) in Bischwiller and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play at home against ALS Basket (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
