Regular Season Round 21: St Chamond - Boulazac 85-70

An interesting game took place in Saint Chamond where higher ranked Boulazac Basket (10-11) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Saint Chamond (9-12) 85-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boulazac Basket. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Saint Chamond's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-13 extending their advantage to 15 points. It was a great shooting night for Saint Chamond especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) who led his team to a victory with 18 points. Lithuanian point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (203-92) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Marc-Antoine Pellin (171-87) answered with 12 points and Nigerian Chamberlain Oguchi (196-86, college: Illinois St.) added 13 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saint Chamond have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Roanne and Maurienne. Boulazac Basket at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Saint Chamond's next round opponent will be higher ranked ALM Evreux (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
