Regular Season Round 22: Charleville - Blois 88-70

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Charleville-Mezieres and 5th ranked ADA Blois had identical 12-9 record. This time Charleville-Mezieres used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Blois 88-70. The game without a history. Charleville-Mezieres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game, while ADA Blois only scored eleven points from the stripe. 24 personal fouls committed by ADA Blois helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Wilbert Brown (200-84, college: Niagara) notched 27 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. Four Charleville-Mezieres players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by Florent Tortosa (198-89) did not help to save the game for ADA Blois. American Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) added 9 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Charleville-Mezieres (13-9) moved-up to third place, which they share with Lille. ADA Blois at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Charleville-Mezieres' next round opponent will be Saint Chamond (#14) on the road which should be an easy win for them. ADA Blois will play against SPO Rouen (#11) and hope to win that game.
