Regular Season Round 21: Lattes Montp. - Hainaut 67-53

LFB top team - Lattes Montpellier (17-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Hainaut (9-12) 67-53. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hainaut. Lattes Montpellier dominated on the defensive end, holding Hainaut to just 7 points in third and fourth quarters. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hainaut's 20. Lattes Montpellier forced 25 Hainaut turnovers. International guard Anael Lardy (170-87) stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners and American forward Kristen Mann (185-83, college: UCSB) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga-Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Spanish guard Laura Garcia (176-81) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Lattes Montpellier have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-4 record. Hainaut at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Nice. Lattes Montpellier will play against bottom-ranked Angers (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hainaut will play against Tarbes (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
