Very expected game when 17th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (7-18) was rolled over on the road by ninth ranked Le Portel (12-13) 85-63 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Le Portel. Entente Orleans 45 managed to win second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Benoit Mangin (191-88) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Five Le Portel players scored in double figures. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: 011 Sports) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Kyle McAlarney (183-87, college: Notre Dame) scored 20 points. Le Portel maintains ninth place with 12-13 record. Loser Entente Orleans 45 dropped to the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Antibes. Le Portel will meet higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Cholet Basket (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
