Regular Season Round 26: Provence Basket - Blois 83-72
Date: April 4, 2017
Very expected game when 6th ranked ADA Blois (14-12) lost to second ranked Provence Basket (18-8) in Fos-sur-Mer 72-83. The game was mostly controlled by Provence Basket. ADA Blois was better in third quarter 26-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Provence Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by ADA Blois' players. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. Swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) chipped in 19 points. American point guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) produced 16 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Provence Basket used an opportunity after Bourg lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. ADA Blois at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost. Provence Basket's next round opponent will be Aix-Maurienne (#15) in Aix-les-Bains which should be an easy win for them. ADA Blois will play on the road against Boulazac Basket (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
