Regular Season Round 29: Nancy - ASVEL 77-85

Date: April 25, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Sluc Nancy (7-22) lost at home to ninth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (15-14) 85-77. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sluc Nancy won fourth quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 assists for the winners and American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's coach J.D. Jackson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nigerian-American swingman Ebi Ere (195-81, college: Oklahoma, agency: Two Points) responded with 23 points and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) scored 13 points and 5 assists.
