There was a surprise result in Golbey where sixteenth ranked SAP Vaucluse (2-4) beat higher ranked GET Vosges (2-4) 90-85 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin power forward Zarko Rakocevic (204-84, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Bosnian-Slovenian forward Simo Atanackovic (206-90) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Malcolm Gountas (189-94) who recorded 27 points and Senegalese power forward Madiop Ndiaye (208-95) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SAP Vaucluse moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated GET Vosges. SAP Vaucluse will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#13) at home in the next round.
