Regular Season Round 12: Montbrison - Avenir 44-49

We should mention about the upset which took place in Montbrison, where higher ranked Montbrison (7-5) lost at home to eleventh ranked Avenir (4-8) 44-49 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of center Mathilde Combes (184-96) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Alice Nayo (189-93) who added 7 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Estonian power forward Maaja Bratka (190-92, agency: LBM Management) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Emilie Duvivier (165-84) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Avenir moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Arras and Reze. Montbrison at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Charnay and COB Calais. Avenir will meet at home higher ranked Angers (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Montbrison will play against Arras and hope to secure a win.
