Regular Season Round 24: Rouen - Quimper 83-75

Very expected game when 18th ranked Quimper UJAP (5-19) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked SPO Rouen (11-13) 83-75 on Tuesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Quimper UJAP won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-British guard Obi Emegano (190-93, college: ORU) who helped to win the game recording 30 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and Lithuanian point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (188-91) who added 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) with 32 points and 6 rebounds and Kevin Mondesir (204-91) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. SPO Rouen moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Evreux. Quimper UJAP lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. SPO Rouen will face Charleville-Mezieres (#17) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Quimper UJAP will play against Sluc Nancy and hope to win that game.
