Regular Season Round 27: Rouen - Evreux 103-73

Date: April 6, 2018
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked SPO Rouen and 10th ranked ALM Evreux had identical 12-14 record. This time SPO Rouen used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Evreux 103-73 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 22-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 103-73. SPO Rouen looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by ALM Evreux's players. It was a great evening for American Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Nigerian-British guard Obi Emegano (190-93, college: ORU) helped adding 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Theo Leon (180-92) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SPO Rouen (13-14) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Vichy Clermont. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. SPO Rouen will face JA Vichy (#10) at home in the next round. ALM Evreux will play against the league's second-placed Entente Orleans 45 where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
